TriumFit Tues News #15 πŸ†

Count down to 2025-01-01T01:00:00.000Z

What's good Reader,

My company is built around challenges.

Physical challenges.

But also mental challenges.

Because you cannot easily separate the mind from the body.

In this newsletter I promised you behind the scenes access to the "Chief Challenge Officer" (me)

Noah Kagan's book "Million Dollar Weekend" (MDW) has been my book of the year so far. It stirred a deep entrepreneurial drive I haven't felt before.

What better way to document my OWN journey, than by doing his 34-step business challenge checklist. (see how meta this is?)

This will be my accountability to you, dear reader, to show you how the plane is built... in mid air.

Finger's crossed this isn't a Boeing 737, and the doors actually stay on the whole time.

But if they don't, I'm going down with the ship, as your loyal captain.

This week MDW challenge is to "Post one piece of content" publicly. It has to have:

1) my unique angle

2) a specific platform

3) My content circle (from last weeks challenge)

4) Post it TODAY

So I am actually going to give yall a sneak preview of content I am posting this Friday. Fridays are my favorite content days because that is the Fitness-History-Friday (FitStoryFri) and it is a way to have fun remixing and learning some history at the same time. I think I finally nailed my Standard Operating Procedure with this one. This week I was diving into the history of the "Highland Games" and I think it came out great.

1) My unique angle here is the poetry. Many of yall don't know it, but I have been writing spoken word poetry since college at the University of Denver.* I find the challenge of lyrical puzzles fascinating trying to make it fit just right. So I don't know how many people are re-telling the history of fitness competitions through a spoken word lens, but I hope I am one of the few!

2) The platform I am going with, and putting most effort into is Instagram. Is it working? Not really, I have had 67 followers basically since I started lol. But hey, I will keep trying.

3) The "content circle" I am targeting here is my larger audience. Anyone interested in history, or fitness, or of European descent (especially Scottish people) should be interested in this video.

4) I will post this Friday, but because yall the OG's that follow the newsletter you get it a sneak peak

*ps. I actually just wrote my newest poem YESTERDAY. Check it out. It explains why I am single...haha

"Tyler's TriumFit Tuesday Tip:"

Remember, people seek to validate the positive label's you give them. If you call a co-worker "hard working" they are more likely to go the extra mile for you on an endeavor.

"Warriors of the Week" TriumFit's highlight of the TFC community:

Happy Birthday to my dad! He turned 73 years old on the 22nd of November (this is NOT him today lol). My dad (on the right) was running a half marathon race (I believe) in the Coliseum in LA with his best friend Jarmon (on the left) back in the 80's. He must have been roughly my age in this picture.

My dad NEVER squatted, so seeing his legs be his huge is concerning. The guy was definitely on the juice...

He still walks or runs everyday at 4 am. The man is a robot. Thanks for those genetics, pops!

We are between challenges, so I don't have much else to point out here. Josh Lawrence did just get selected onto the East Piece County Fire Department out in WA. So that is awesome. He is a great soldier, friend, father and now fireman. BOSS MOVE BUD!

Where have you succeeded this week? Reply to this email and send me a picture and I will feature you in the next TFC newsletter!

"The People's Poll" TriumFit's Random Queries to the Community:

Looks like someone is getting SWOLE in their 30's. It is never too late to improve your fitness...

This weeks poll to the community is...

"TriumFit Transparency" where we talk progress and problems:

Progress:

  1. Updated all my ThriveCart payment links, so that feels nice
  2. Emailed 186 people in the last 2 weeks about corporate wellness competition partnerships, so fingers crossed, hopefully someone wants to get on my 2025 calendar!

Problems:

  1. Getting feedback and responses from companies on partnership opportunities
  2. Getting custom coins made for TFC Charity Challenges (it is quite expensive), but I think it would be worth it

"Clear the Calendar" where we look forward to the next challenge:
