TriumFit Tues News #6

Count down to 2025-01-01T01:00:00.000Z

What's good Reader,

My company is built around challenges.

Physical challenges.

But also mental challenges.

Because you cannot easily separate the mind from the body.

In this newsletter I promised you behind the scenes access to the "Chief Challenge Officer" (me)

Noah Kagan's book "Million Dollar Weekend" (MDW) has been my book of the year so far. It stirred a deep entrepreneurial drive I haven't felt before.

What better way to document my OWN journey, than by doing his 34-step business challenge checklist. (see how meta this is?)

This will be my accountability to you, dear reader, to show you how the plane is built... in mid air.

Finger's crossed this isn't a Boeing 737, and the doors actually stay on the whole time.

But if they don't, I'm going down with the ship, as your loyal captain.

____________________________________________________________

This week MDW challenge is to use the 4 questions below to come up with 3 business ideas to solve my own problems:

1) What is one thing this morning that irritated me?

2) What is one thing on my to-do list that's been there over a week?

3) What is one thing that I regularly fail to do well?

4) What is one thing I wanted to buy recently only to find that no one made it?

I'm already underway with "TriumFit Challenge" as my business, so I will try to answer those questions with this project in mind for how TFC solves my CUSTOMERS problems, based my business model.

1) One thing that irritates many people in the morning is their commute to work or to work out. TriumFit Challenge is a location independent online fitness community/competition that helps solve that problem because there is no gym to drive to. I'm running through the 2025 calendar in my mind and very few challenges will require a proper gym. So boom, +1 for TFC

2) What is one thing on many people's to-do lists that's been on there over a week? I think many people (myself included) try to make it a goal to call their friends/family more often. I try every Sunday to call back home and check in with my parents in CA. I don't always check it off, but I am always thankful to hear their voice when I do. How can TriumFit help with this? TriumFit is designed to be community driven platform (the FB Group is a start) and I want people to invite their friends during the challenges to complete parts of them together. I plan on livestreaming parts of every month on my Instagram. Ideally I want little TFC meetup groups in various cities all across the U.S. like Nike Run Clubs, where people get together and complete some of that month's goal. So TFC can help connect you to friends in the real world, not just online like apps such as Strava.

3) One thing that MANY people fail to do well is hit their stated fitness goals. The American College of Sports Medicine recommends 150 minutes of moderate cardio, or 75 minutes of vigorous cardio a week with 2x weekly resistance training sessions. Add in balance training if you are 60+ years old. How many Americans ACTUALLY hit that? Looks like around 20% for men, and even less for women over 18 years old.

This is in part why I created TriumFit. New years resolutions fail. 30 day challenges have a MUCH HIGHER success rate in my observation. TFC is just 12 months of 30 day challenges. It stays fresh, easier to maintain motivation and if you fail, you really only failed 1/12th of the year, there's plenty more time to recover!

4) What is something that many people want to buy, but nobody makes it? Going to play the cheeky move again, I think there's an appetite for a product like the TFC. Where fitness blends into philanthropy. Where we move for meaning. Where we Give-Back, Before Giving-Up.

That is what I am taking away from this weeks Million Dollar Weekend Challenge. And if you also believe in what I am selling then hesitate no more. Click the button below and become part of the first $1,000 of my companies revenue. PRICES WILL DOUBLE ON AUGUST 1st FOR ALL 2025 CALENDAR EVENTS.

"Tyler's TriumFit Tuesday Tip:"

Never argue over text message. Just don't do it.

"Warriors of the Week" TriumFit's highlight of the TFC community:

A bit of a quiet time at TriumFit, waiting for the 911 Tower Challenge in September and the Monthly challenges officially start January 1st, 2025. So until then I will "Strava Stalk" whoever is on there and praise their workouts for the community.

Justin Sipple looks to be relaxing in Mexico. Must be nice being retired from the military...

Alex Reinfeldt is doing Alex Reinfeldt things and biking 100 miles just to make us all look bad. He is gearing up for an Ironman in Estonia (where his family is from) and then another Ironman in California in October, which I may road trip to see. GO ALEX GO

Josh Lawrence had a workout called "DANCE WITH THE DEVIL" this week. It is listed below if you too want to Breakdance with Beelzebub...

Christ Krieger donated to GiveDirectly.org one of my favorite charities. It is a new segment (Will-Power Wednesday) on my TriumFit Instagram

My brother Ryan Smith did successfully complete the side quest of meditating 10 minutes a day, so I had to pay him $1/day for it. Proof.

Follow me on Strava, so I can find your stats to give you some kudos!

Strava Link Here (or search "Ty from TriumFit" on the app)

"The People's Poll" TriumFit's Random Queries to the Community:

Responses so far from last weeks poll.

Everyone likes purpose-driven-fitness so far.

What say you?? Vote by clicking the previous TFC edition on my Covertkit profile page

"TriumFit Transparency" where we talk projects and problems:

Projects:

  1. Turning the TFC baseline testing into a free course on ThriveCart. Going to try to figure that out this week. Ideally, anyone that buys a monthly challenge will automatically be enrolled in the baseline testing course. That would be smoooooth
  2. Seeing if there is a partnership opportunity with Stretchlab for a month of the 2025 challenge calendar.
  3. Reaching out to the other charities on my website and see if there are other collab/marketing opportunities we can both win with
  4. Edited the TFC Website to include BIGGER FONT TO DIRECT PEOPLE TO BUY ENTRY TICKETS. I still need to do a youtube tutorial of exactly how to flow through everything (Buy entry tickets >> Fill out which months you want on Google forms >> Sign Waiver >> Sign up for newsletter >> Make a user profile on the Google Doc >> Take TFC Baseline Test to get your "Rank"
  5. Finishing Hybrid E-book. Lost my voice in a jujitsu tournament this week, so had to postpone my audio narrations for it. Check back in a week!

Problems:

  1. Trying to grow on social media, while simultaneously hating social media and my screen time being so insanely high since trying to start a business...yikes
  2. Running into copyright issues when uploading Youtube Shorts with certain audio tracks to Instagram. Apparently the two platforms don't play nice.

"Clear the Calendar" where we look forward to the next challenge:

911 Tower Challenge: Remember Remember the Stairs of September

Currently discounted 50% for another 2 weeks until August 1st, so get that entry ticket today!
