My company is built around challenges.
Physical challenges.
But also mental challenges.
Because you cannot easily separate the mind from the body.
In this newsletter I promised you behind the scenes access to the "Chief Challenge Officer" (me)
Noah Kagan's book "Million Dollar Weekend" (MDW) has been my book of the year so far. It stirred a deep entrepreneurial drive I haven't felt before.
What better way to document my OWN journey, than by doing his 34-step business challenge checklist. (see how meta this is?)
This will be my accountability to you, dear reader, to show you how the plane is built... in mid air.
Finger's crossed this isn't a Boeing 737, and the doors actually stay on the whole time.
But if they don't, I'm going down with the ship, as your loyal captain.

This week MDW challenge is to use the 4 questions below to come up with 3 business ideas to solve my own problems:
1) What is one thing this morning that irritated me?
2) What is one thing on my to-do list that's been there over a week?
3) What is one thing that I regularly fail to do well?
4) What is one thing I wanted to buy recently only to find that no one made it?
β
I'm already underway with "TriumFit Challenge" as my business, so I will try to answer those questions with this project in mind for how TFC solves my CUSTOMERS problems, based my business model.
1) One thing that irritates many people in the morning is their commute to work or to work out. TriumFit Challenge is a location independent online fitness community/competition that helps solve that problem because there is no gym to drive to. I'm running through the 2025 calendar in my mind and very few challenges will require a proper gym. So boom, +1 for TFC
2) What is one thing on many people's to-do lists that's been on there over a week? I think many people (myself included) try to make it a goal to call their friends/family more often. I try every Sunday to call back home and check in with my parents in CA. I don't always check it off, but I am always thankful to hear their voice when I do. How can TriumFit help with this? TriumFit is designed to be community driven platform (the FB Group is a start) and I want people to invite their friends during the challenges to complete parts of them together. I plan on livestreaming parts of every month on my Instagram. Ideally I want little TFC meetup groups in various cities all across the U.S. like Nike Run Clubs, where people get together and complete some of that month's goal. So TFC can help connect you to friends in the real world, not just online like apps such as Strava.
3) One thing that MANY people fail to do well is hit their stated fitness goals. The American College of Sports Medicine recommends 150 minutes of moderate cardio, or 75 minutes of vigorous cardio a week with 2x weekly resistance training sessions. Add in balance training if you are 60+ years old. How many Americans ACTUALLY hit that? Looks like around 20% for men, and even less for women over 18 years old.
This is in part why I created TriumFit. New years resolutions fail. 30 day challenges have a MUCH HIGHER success rate in my observation. TFC is just 12 months of 30 day challenges. It stays fresh, easier to maintain motivation and if you fail, you really only failed 1/12th of the year, there's plenty more time to recover!
4) What is something that many people want to buy, but nobody makes it? Going to play the cheeky move again, I think there's an appetite for a product like the TFC. Where fitness blends into philanthropy. Where we move for meaning. Where we Give-Back, Before Giving-Up.
