TriumFit Tues News #31πŸ†

Count down to 2025-06-12T04:15:00.000Z

Dear TriumFit Fam,

Referral Reward: Refer "TriumFit TuesNews" to just 3 friends & get one of my training plans for free ($20-$35 value). Just reply to this email with subject line: "Newsletter referrals" and list the emails of your 3 amigos, and I will add them manually! (Ideally you tell them how awesome it is first, of course...)

Now you have a proper training plan and the body you want with your swagger back.

My company is built around challenges.

Physical challenges.

But also mental challenges.

Because you cannot easily separate the mind from the body.

In this newsletter I promised you behind the scenes access to the "Chief Challenge Officer" (me)

Noah Kagan's book "Million Dollar Weekend" (MDW) has been a revelation for me.

It stirred a deep entrepreneurial drive I haven't felt before.

What better way to document my OWN journey, than by doing his 34-step business challenge checklist. (see how meta this is?)

This will be my accountability to you, dear reader, to show you how the plane is built... in mid air.

Finger's crossed this isn't a Boeing 737, and the doors actually stay on the whole time.

But if they don't, I'm going down with the ship, as your loyal captain.

This week MDW challenge (THE FINAL ONE) is to ask a friend for a referral to expand my network.

1) The first person that comes to mind is Spencer from the Runner_Talk show. They are a great duo (Nick and Spencer). I just appreciate the hustle in building their channel, how many interviews they have done and their growth. I will send this to them and see who they recommend!

Here is the message:

Hey Runner_Talk squad!

I think you are up there with the most impressive people out there building a lifestyle I want, and I would love your help in expanding my network.

You know what I'm about: fitness, history, community, philanthropy

Who's the one person you think I should connect with?

If no one comes to mind, no pressure.

And just like that, that was the FINAL business challenge from the book. It definitely took me longer than 48 hours lol. More like 48 weeks lol, but I stuck with it, learned a lot and grew in the process. The foundation for TriumFit is laid, but now I have to build and build and build on what I started. This really is just the beginning, as cliche as that sounds. But hey, cliches exist for a reason...

With the closing of this chapter, I am going to completely re-tool the newsletter. I didn't see the growth over the past year like I hoped, so time to find a new strategy!

β€œTriumFit Transparency” where we talk progress and problems:

Tyler’s progress towards his 2025 TriumFit growth goals:

A) 17 of 100 challenge sign ups (no change since last newsletter)

B) 88 of 1,000 newsletter subscribers (up 1 since last newsletter)

C) 7 of 30 Champions League sign ups (up 2 since last newsletter)

Tyler's problems to overcome:

A) Newsletter click rate was ~11.5% on the last newsletter, again. That's despite going out at noon, which isn't that late. Definitely time to overhaul the newsletter. Now that the MDW challenges are done, it seems like the time.

Any suggestions from the audience here? What would be the best way to add value to your life, a weekly-shorter newsletter? A single newsletter each month? Open to all ideas

B) I am trying to partner with the TherapyFundFoundation.org for the Juneteenth event, as I am donating 50% of the ticket sales to them and 50% to FreeTheSlaves.net so I will try to collab with the R.I.S.E. center on another project. I have 1 more Tacoma Connect to go to this week, so hopefully I can do some final pitches on Wednesday about the event on the 28th.

In this episode we have...

1) David - David had a bachelor party on a bike. What a concept. He did a "century" ride, which if you don't know means you do 100+ miles. If you want to know what that feels like, imagine sitting on a plastic banana for 5+ hours. Now you know.

2) Connor - Got culture by seeing some Frida Khalo and that "American Farmer" painting out in Chicago. I think that dude in the bottom left with the beard is done by Van Gogh too. But I could be totally wrong and I didn't fact check any of this...

3) Andrea - Went to Whitesands Bay in the UK! I am surprised they got a blue sky out there, rare sight I'm sure. But looks lovely either way.

4) Billy - I included Billy because this dude always has funny captions in his headline. I started making my Strava headlines more entertaining because of it. That vacuum joke? At least a C+ dad joke right there. I bet Billy has twins.

5) Jacob - This guy also put in some WORK on the bike this week. Biking from Olympia to Tacoma. I haven't even driven to Olympia, WA yet lol. I also feel his pain on the Strava glitch. So need to give him some credit. Not bad elevation gain either

6) Dustin - For the record, I call it obsession brother. I agree. You gotta LOVE the pain of training, or it won't stick as a habit. Not that every training session is painful, but it's hard to progress without some pain and discomfort.

7) Myself - this week I got the Juneteenth GOLD DIVISION CHALLENGE DONE! I was out in Santa Rosa, visiting my brother and it was beautiful weather near Spring Lake. Took me just under 8 hours total to clip off the 19 miles (barefoot miles significantly slowed me down lol).

"The People's Poll" TriumFit's random queries to the community:

This segment was inspired by a previous project of mine: "Tyler Talks to Strangers," where I would interview random people on the street. Fun times. But my curiosity is endless, so now I get to query YOU!

This weeks poll was...

Well, that was a CLEAN SWEEP. First one in TFC newsletter history. I agree. I feel like it is better to be known-well than well known. I stole this quote from Naval Ravikant and it's a gem.

I think we are living in a new online world where it really only takes 1,000 true fans to sustain a business. I am trying to find my TriumFit ride or die crew! Those are the only people I care to be "known" by. I don't care about fake followers, I care about an engaged audience.

"Tyler's TriumFit Tuesday Tip" where I share some wisdom:

# 26 Do one hard thing every day. Consider it the rent you pay to be on the planet.

"Clear the Calendar" where we look forward to the next challenge:

First of all, there is ONE WEEK left to sign up for the "TriumFit Champions League" fitness accountability group. Find out more by clicking this absurdly large link:

Do you like the new shirt merch?

Next, we are going to be doing 9 miles of walking together on the 28th, come out and celebrate with the work! This is to celebrate Juneteenth and the end of the institution of slavery in the U.S.

This is my way of honoring the past. The U.S. has a lot of skeletons in the closet and "ugly" history that needs to be dealt it, so it never happens again. What would you do if you came up with a Juneteenth tribute challenge?

I did the 19 miler on the 19th to honor the date.

FYI, this is a VIRTUAL event as well, so you can participate form ANYWHERE, just tag TriumFit_Challenge with some pictures of how your faired.

Register here or on the QR Code:

p.s. If you paid for and completed a TFC event, make sure you're on the list below. This is an editable document for you to keep track of your completion times after each event, to see how your fitness is improving!

p.p.s. I love you. Let's set up a time to walk and talk. Like on the phone. Using our phones...as phones. Wut.

The Training Plans below are just for your general fitness improvement.

You don’t have to record yourself doing them, sign up on any form, or do anything specific related to the actual TFC Charity Challenges above!
