Dear TriumFit Fam,

Referral Reward: Refer "TriumFit TuesNews" to just 3 friends & get one of my training plans for free ($20-$35 value). Just reply to this email with subject line: "Newsletter referrals" and list the emails of your 3 amigos, and I will add them manually! (Ideally you tell them how awesome it is first, of course...)

Now you have a proper training plan and the body you want with your swagger back.

My company is built around challenges.

Physical challenges.

But also mental challenges.

Because you cannot easily separate the mind from the body.

In this newsletter I promised you behind the scenes access to the "Chief Challenge Officer" (me)

Noah Kagan's book "Million Dollar Weekend" (MDW) has been a revelation for me.

It stirred a deep entrepreneurial drive I haven't felt before.

What better way to document my OWN journey, than by doing his 34-step business challenge checklist. (see how meta this is?)

This will be my accountability to you, dear reader, to show you how the plane is built... in mid air.

Finger's crossed this isn't a Boeing 737, and the doors actually stay on the whole time.

But if they don't, I'm going down with the ship, as your loyal captain.

This week's MDW challenge is to "connect with a pre-influencer." The idea is that by connecting with ambitious people BEFORE they make it, it's a lot easier to build a genuine relationship. You know, before the money, fame, and cocaine and all of that stuff. The three criteria are:

1) Who is doing work I am impressed by?

2) AND who doesn't have a ton of attention and is likely to reply?

3) AND what can I do to help this person?

The first person that came to mind was Greg Danielson. We actually connected over a podcast earlier this year. The guy has an amazing story. Incredibly underrated editing skills and I can really see this guy going to the moon.

Check his Instagram out below. Guy puts up insane edits and needs some love for all the work he must be putting in.

I think Greg is actually coming up to the PNW in October, so stay tuned for a collab video then! It's funny because I didn't even know what the word "pre-influencer" was before reading the MDW book, but I could tell this dude had skill and it seemed natural to reach out.

For #3, the way that I could help Greg is by giving him a shoutout in my newsletter and giving him a place to crash when he comes out to Seattle. He is re-building his life and trying to go heavy on travel content, I'm sure he will appreciate that!

Here is his Instagram:

We got a podcast coming out THIS THURSDAY!

video preview

β€œTriumFit Transparency” where we talk progress and problems:

Tyler’s progress towards his 2025 TriumFit growth goals:

A) 17 of 100 challenge sign ups (no change since last newsletter)

B) 87 of 1,000 newsletter subscribers (up 3 since last newsletter)

C) 5 of 30 Champions League Founding Cohort signed up. Up 1 since last newsletter

To answer the SUBJECT LINE of this email. My answer is FIND A TEAM. Build accountability systems. NOT willpower, or the latest motivational video.

That is why I created the Champions League, because teams just work.

What is the Champions League anyway?

The Champions League is how we blow the Charity Challenges up. I can't do fitness alone anymore. Neither can you. We can't save the world by ourselves either. But what if our fitness could benefit the world as we reach our goals? Hear me out.

Everyone automatically becomes an affiliate when you join the Champions League, which can completely offset your membership dues if you invite your friends to participate in the Community Charity Challenges. You make $25 per sign up, so even if 2 people sign up, that would cover your "competitor" tier of the Champions League.

The idea is that this starts little TriumFit Clubs in other cities besides Tacoma, where I live.

The way the league works is you set an individual 90-day fitness goal, you get a team via a private Discord channel who are also pursuing their own goals and we help each other stay accountable. This way you ACTUALLY do the thing, succeed and stop the "lone wolf" mentality that is killing our hopes and dreams.

Feel free to jump on a call with me this week if you have any other questions.

Tyler's problems to overcome:

A) My newsletter click-rate went wayyy down in the previous 3 or so episodes. Maybe the newsletter is hitting people's spam folders more? It could also just be me, that is entirely the most likely scenario lol.

Usually it was around 50%, but then it has steadily gone down to 15%. There was a week I published the newsletter at like 10 pm, so maybe that explains the 11% day. Looks like the earlier in the morning, the better...I guess I gotta stick to that!

B) Finding a way to collaborate with the R.I.S.E. Center on the Juneteenth tribute challenge. I had a great time last month at their Walk to End Homelessness, so getting help promoting the TriumFit name would be great!

In this episode we have...

1) Justin- I just never get tired of seeing view of Mt. Baker and Rainier!

2) Jason- He did some type of Great Ferry Race?? Looks awesome and I hope no ferry's were harmed in the making.

3) Michaela- Found one of the most badass hotel gyms on the planet.

4) Mikee- Did a North Olympic 1/2 Marathon! I bet the views were insane on that

5) Anthony- Found the last remaining snow in the entire state of CA. Good work.

6) Natalia- the caption says it all: "literally what what what what so pretty and amazing."

"The People's Poll" TriumFit's random queries to the community:

This segment was inspired by a previous project of mine: "Tyler Talks to Strangers," where I would interview random people on the street. Fun times. But my curiosity is endless, so now I get to query YOU!

This weeks poll was...

Wow, people really staying loyal to their cities eh? I am shocked it was so lobsided.

Hating the thing you do 40+ hours a week is rough, but I guess you are CONSTANTLY in the city you live in, so were people going by sheer volume of time?

Now I am wondering HOW MUCH in DOLLAR VALUE would you have to lower the job you hate to still make up for the delta of how much you love that city. Would you take $20,000 less to live in a city you LITERALLY LOVE? What cities are these? Where are the streets paved with gold?

Probably Singapore, I need to go to Singapore...
