TriumFit Tues News #29πŸ†

Count down to 2025-05-19T11:00:00.000Z

Dear TriumFit Fam,

Referral Reward: Refer "TriumFit TuesNews" to just 3 friends & get one of my training plans for free ($20-$35 value). Just reply to this email with subject line: "Newsletter referrals" and list the emails of your 3 amigos, and I will add them manually! (Ideally you tell them how awesome it is first, of course...)

Now you have a proper training plan and the body you want with your swagger back.

My company is built around challenges.

Physical challenges.

But also mental challenges.

Because you cannot easily separate the mind from the body.

In this newsletter I promised you behind the scenes access to the "Chief Challenge Officer" (me)

Noah Kagan's book "Million Dollar Weekend" (MDW) has been a revelation for me.

It stirred a deep entrepreneurial drive I haven't felt before.

What better way to document my OWN journey, than by doing his 34-step business challenge checklist. (see how meta this is?)

This will be my accountability to you, dear reader, to show you how the plane is built... in mid air.

Finger's crossed this isn't a Boeing 737, and the doors actually stay on the whole time.

But if they don't, I'm going down with the ship, as your loyal captain.

This week's MDW challenge is to find one person to send my yearly business goals to.

I picked Justin Wade. The guy works in getting start ups off the ground in his day job. He knows what he is talking about. More importantly, he doesn't hold back and he hurts my feelings on a regular basis... "It feels juvenile" -Justin.

OUCH, sick burn. That is an actual quote from him when I told him an idea I had, lol.

We all need cheerleaders. That is nice. But I also need at least one friend who will call me on my bullshit, and tell me what should actually be done to make TriumFit successful. Justin believes in what TriumFit is going to be. That's why it's all love.

So I sent Justin my goals from my last newsletter (#28) and he will help keep me on top of it, hopefully.

RECAP OF MY GOALS:

Work:

  • Completely sell out 30 spots for the Founding Cohort of "TriumFit Champions League" (more on that below)
  • Hit 100 Charity Challenge Sign ups (affiliates will help with this!)
  • Have enough income coming in each month to go ALL-IN on TriumFit and walk away from the 9-5 in October

Health:

  • Complete my first proper trail-ultra marathon (50k) at White River in July
  • Win the "Intermediate" division No Gi Tournament in July at the Revolution
  • Sub19 a 5k? I don't know, Gideon is trying to talk me into that one...that sounds painful though.

Personal:

  • Attend every "Tacoma Connect" Networking event I am in town for. Plugging into my local community has been one of the best decisions I made.
  • Go overnight camping at least 4 times this summer in the PNW
  • Sell my Travel Trailer to free up some cash flow (if you are in the market for one, then reply to this email...)

Travel:

  • Spend 3 weeks in Japan in September/October
  • Go to my cousin Jillian's wedding
  • Go to CA for Juneteenth weekend and again during Christmas

β€œTriumFit Transparency” where we talk progress and problems:

Tyler’s progress towards his 2025 TriumFit growth goals:

A) 17 of 100 challenge sign ups (up 3 since last newsletter)

B) 84 of 1,000 newsletter subscribers (up 5 since last newsletter)

C) 4 of 30 spots secured in the TriumFit Champions League. Need some help with this guys. If it's not for you, that is cool, but please send it around your network if you read this.

Got a little uptick in challenge sign ups because this was a Murph Memorial week. I finished it yesterday with 5-6 people. It was a fun time, except the cameraman I hired overslept, so he wasn't there, I am going to try to piece a few things together, but there will not be a proper YouTube video this time sadly :/

Tyler's problems to overcome:

A) Justin said I have a great idea, but I am bad at storytelling and that is why I am struggling.

I agree. I need to connect deeper with my audience about why I am doing what I am doing and why this matters. I need to work on my story telling in my newsletter. I think I am going to reformulate my newsletter shortly, stay tuned for that!

B) I think I have a move to get more eyes on the newsletter, if I can offer injury screens or warmups before the Sunday Tacoma Run Club, that would be a great way to add value to that community and get the TriumFit brand out there more! I just need to approach E-Jay with the idea, he has been supportive so far though.

C) Getting Cohort 1 from the Champions League signed up. Harder then I thought. I thought I could spin up a sales page and bing bam boom, filled out.

I have 4 of 30 seats filled so far...

In this episode we have...

1) Alex - this looked like a beauty of a ride out in my ol neck of the woods in Shasta National Forest. I am not the biggest biker in the world, but having a good crew can make all the difference.

2) Joel - got a run in for Memorial Day. I didn't know we were all supposed to wear blue for it. But It looks like it was a good time all around. A good day to remember those that never came home.

3) Amanda - looped the lake out in Kitsap, WA. I really only included this because of the amazing cow photos. Everyone loves a good cow photo. And goat yoga.

4) Cindy - did an annual ride up a mountain on a bike. I love doing reunions and annual workouts, seasonal events. It always grounds me. That is why I like my TriumFit Calendar so much. Because I always have a new event each month to look forward to!

5) Jonah - this was kinda meta because Jonah did the Murph with me yesterday! I didn't know he was snapping a pic. But it was another good day grinding along some friends at Wright Park. I just love working out with people so much.

6) Tony - also got a "remembrance of fallen soldiers run" in. I think it is super important to be grateful for everything we have in life. And the people who sacrificed to get us these freedoms we take for granted! Congrats Tony, good work.

"The People's Poll" TriumFit's random queries to the community:

This segment was inspired by a previous project of mine: "Tyler Talks to Strangers," where I would interview random people on the street. Fun times. But my curiosity is endless, so now I get to query YOU!

This weeks poll was...

Wow. Faith restored in humanity with the communities answers. Vast majority out here trying to live forever, over getting a quick paycheck.

I would take the money!!! Kidding.

If the second option was specifically doubling average life expectancy (~77 years) and being 154 years old, but in great health the whole time, like aging 1/2 as fast or something, I would also take that.

50 million is alot, but I would need maybe $400+ to make this a harder decision for me. Because I could do a lot of dope philanthropy with 400 mill in the bank and start a bunch of cool projects.
