TriumFit Tues News #28πŸ†

Count down to 2025-05-19T11:00:00.000Z

Dear TriumFit Fam,

Referral Reward: Refer "TriumFit TuesNews" to just 3 friends & get one of my training plans for free ($20-$35 value). Just reply to this email with subject line: "Newsletter referrals" and list the emails of your 3 amigos, and I will add them manually! (Ideally you tell them how awesome it is first, of course...)

Now you have a proper training plan and the body you want with your swagger back.

My company is built around challenges.

Physical challenges.

But also mental challenges.

Because you cannot easily separate the mind from the body.

In this newsletter I promised you behind the scenes access to the "Chief Challenge Officer" (me)

Noah Kagan's book "Million Dollar Weekend" (MDW) has been a revelation for me.

It stirred a deep entrepreneurial drive I haven't felt before.

What better way to document my OWN journey, than by doing his 34-step business challenge checklist. (see how meta this is?)

This will be my accountability to you, dear reader, to show you how the plane is built... in mid air.

Finger's crossed this isn't a Boeing 737, and the doors actually stay on the whole time.

But if they don't, I'm going down with the ship, as your loyal captain.

This week MDW challenge is to "Bring out your Dreams" and do something called the "Dream Year Checklist"

The excerpt seems TARGETTED to me:

"Imagine your best year ever. Close your eyes. Picture eating Chipotle with all the guacamole you want, you're making your Freedom Number, you spend half you day researching plants 'cause you love it, and you get to live in multiple places. Your dreams can become reality only if you think about what you really want."

That Chipotle line hit me dead in the heart.

The world could consist of nothing except Trader Joe's and Chipotle tomorrow, and I wouldn't even be mad.

Anyway, here are 12 items from my ideal rest of 2025!

Work:

  • Completely sell out 30 spots for the Founding Cohort of "TriumFit Champions League" (more on that below)
  • Hit 100 Charity Challenge Sign ups (affiliates will help with this!)
  • Have enough income coming in each month to go ALL-IN on TriumFit and walk away from the 9-5 in October

Health:

  • Complete my first proper trail ultra marathon (50k) at White River in July
  • Win the "Intermediate" division No Gi Tournament in July at the Revolution
  • Sub19 a 5k? I don't know, Gideon is trying to talk me into that one...that sounds painful though.

Personal:

  • Attend every "Tacoma Connect" Networking event I am in town for. Plugging into my local community has been one of the best decisions I made.
  • Go overnight camping at least 4 times this summer in the PNW
  • Sell my Travel Trailer to free up some cash flow (if you are in the market for one, then reply to this email...)

Travel:

  • Spend 3 weeks in Japan in September/October
  • Go to my cousin Jillian's wedding
  • Go to CA for Juneteenth weekend and again during Christmas

Here is to finishing with added enthusiasm in 2025, I can't believe we are already 5 months deep.

What is the TriumFit Champions League?

"A Mission-Driven, High-Impact, Accountability Group.

This isn't a GYM membership,

It's a GOAL membership."

You're gonna want to be apart of this. #TRUST

β€œTriumFit Transparency” where we talk progress and problems:

Tyler’s progress towards his 2025 TriumFit growth goals:

A) 14 of 100 challenge sign ups (errrrrrrm). Nobody wants to do the Murph Challenge I guess, not even Silver Division, guys?

B) 79 of 1,000 newsletter subscribers (ehhhhh). How make number go up?

Tyler's problems to overcome:

A) How to properly market the TriumFit Champions League. Finding my target audience and best way to spread the world

B) Potentially linking up with local CrossFit gyms to see if there is a mutual way we can win with their built in networks of people doing hard things and my community driven approach. Seems like a solid pair.

C) I was having some issues with ConvertKit my email platform segmenting subscribers into different categories. I yelled at my laptop only once last night. Then I finally figured it out. Technology, I swear.

In this episode we have...

1) Anthony - Anthony was out searching for a hot dog? Or not a hot dog? I am not sure what that means to be honest, but it's provocative, it get's the people going!

2) Andy - Apparently this English bloke has bad allergies. Didn't prevent him from biking 40 miles! What a sneezy beast. That's some tough upper lip if I ever heard of it. Churchill would be PROUD!

3) Kristina - Went to Franklin falls. Looks beautiful! I will definitely add it to the list of places to go in WA. I need to get some trail runs in this summer fersure.

4) Caleb - Got a new hat from Kevin. I don't know Kevin, but he seems like a nice friend to have if he dishes out hats on the regular. The hat looks good on your Caleb. Looking fly!

5) Garrett - Garrett is a Force of Nature and a Child of God. I gave him that nickname actually lol. The man is attempting to break Dean Karnazes' furthest distance ran without stopping, over 350 miles! I definitely respect the barefoot miles.

6) Charles - Charles got out to the Number 2 Canyon. If that is Number 2, then I want to see Number 1! Looks like a beauty.

"The People's Poll" TriumFit's random queries to the community:

This segment was inspired by a previous project of mine: "Tyler Talks to Strangers," where I would interview random people on the street. Fun times. But my curiosity is endless, so now I get to query YOU!

This weeks poll is...

Would you rather:

Go to prison for 5 years, for a crime you DID NOT commit, or 10 years for a crime you DID commit?

Ok, I am sorry this one is CUT AND DRY. The only CORRECT answer is 5 years for a crime you DID not commit.

There is no other logical choice here.

A) you serve half the time

b) you don't have the guilt of actually hurting anyone, because it was a false charge.

So you save 5 years and you get to maintain your reputation (albeit only internally).

Are you really saying you you would rather take the option that you are a true blue criminal AND waste 5 more years behind bars??

WHAT I'M SHOOK.

#23 How you do anything is how you do everything.

Enough said.

I already memorized my speech:

β€œWE WILL FIGHT ON THE BEACHES” from Winston Churchill.

It is epic.

Here is the part I got down! (~112 words)

β€œEven though large tracts of Europe and many old and famous States have fallen or may fall into the grip of the Gestapo and all the odious apparatus of Nazi rule, we shall not flag or fail. We shall go on to the end. We shall fight in France, we shall fight on the seas and oceans, we shall fight with growing confidence and growing strength in the air, we shall defend our island, whatever the cost may be. We shall fight on the beaches, we shall fight on the landing grounds, we shall fight in the fields and in the streets, we shall fight in the hills; we shall never surrender.”

p.s. If you paid for a TFC event, make sure you're on the official entry list for the charity challenge below. There is a form emailed to you in your receipt!
